How It All Began
Oasis Sweet Heat Salsa started as the signature flavor of the locally-owned Oasis restaurant in 1994. After a few years the restaurant became more than the owners wanted, but the salsa was still sought after by its patrons throughout the states and eaten up quickly whenever a batch was made.
Fifteen years and many batches later, it was time to bring out the recipe once again for a more permanent presence in the community. Within months, sales exceeded the home-production capacity and the production-line recipe was perfected. More people finally had the opportunity to taste what everyone had been talking about, and the reaction was overwhelming.
Today we are proud to present our product to you for the next step of its journey. We strive to provide the freshest, most unique tasting salsa you will ever eat.
Oasis Sweet Heat Salsa tastes exactly as the name describes, an initial sweet flavor with just enough kick at the end to earn the second half of its name. Try it and you will see that Sweet Heat is truly an oasis in a barren land of bland tasting salsas!
Recipes for Oasis Sweet Heat Salsa
Oasis Sweet Heat Southwestern Pizza
1 pre-baked pizza crust
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 and 1/2 cup shredded Colby and Monterey Jack blend cheese
1/2-3/4 of a jar of Oasis Sweet Heat Salsa
3/4 cup of black beans (drained and rinsed)
1/2 cup of chopped red, yellow or orange bell pepper
3-4 chopped green onions
1-2 tablespoons freshly chopped cilantro
Coat pre-baked pizza crust with oil then sprinkle on the garlic powder and 1/4 cup shredded cheese and bake at 425° for 5-8 minutes, just enough for the crust to become crispy and golden. Spread Oasis Sweet Heat Salsa all over the baked crust then top with black beans, bell pepper, green onions, and remaining shredded cheese. Bake at 425° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Once removed from oven, sprinkle with cilantro and cut into slices or squares
